Hop Skip Jump

Placeholder for Loni's Poetry Book

Hop Skip Jump

I was two.
 I hop.
 I skip.
 I jump.
Callie teaches me with the hopscotch on the sidewalk.
I hop on one leg and fall and scrape my knee.
I cry because it hurts and starts to bleed.
Callie hugs me and cleans the scrape.
Then she helps me try again.
 And I don’t fall.
 Big sisters are the best.
