Luminous

Luminous
Back in my early days, Black and White was safe.

Color was fear.

The fear of making a big mistake and not being able to mask it or erase it away.

One day, I swallowed my fear and bought a little box of pastels.

That day I painted this girl.

And to my shock, I liked her. Suddenly, everything that frightened me about color melted away.

For years she had no name until a friend of mine looked at her and was moved. She said she made her feel wonderful.

That is when I noticed a light surrounding her.

So she became Luminous.
