Nature Provides

My current work in progress is a little Faery on a slab of wood that I think was once a bookshelf. Thank Heaven for recycling. I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to happen when I put pencil to wood. But as I carried on, the little Faery began to draw herself, so to speak. My Faeries most often come to me without clothes so it was no surprise that this Faery came as such. At first, I had her with her hands clasped before her little Faery parts. But then I found that to be--well--wrong. She looked ashamed and there is no place for shame in the Faery world.

So I moved her hands with every intent on showing her just as she is--Faery parts and all--when I discovered that the parts I intended to "draw" were provided by the grain of the wood itself!

*WARNING! BLATANT DISPLAY OF FAERY PARTS AHEAD*

As you can see from the faint lines, that is where her hands were clasped. Still can't see it? Let me point it out for you.

Nature Provides! Perhaps she has been hiding in this old block of timber all this time! Oh the things she must have seen!
